This research aimed to the effectiveness of using science, technology and society approach in in the development of achievement teaching a unit in chemistry formulated according to science, technology and society approach and the development of positive attitudes towards the chemistry of students in the first-grade industrial secondary system of the five years. The following materials and tools have been prepared: The teacher's guide, activity notebook that includes some activities specialized in the issues and the problems that reflect the philosophy of the STS, the achievement test and the scale of attitudes towards chemistry. The current search results are: The current research found that there is a statistically significant difference at level (0.05≤) between the average scores of the experimental group and the control group, indicating that this difference is due to the experimental variable of the experimental group formulated according to the science, technology and society approach. And the scale of attitudes towards chemistry compared with the usual method of teaching to the control group. (Published abstract)
