The aim of the study was to investigate the effectiveness of a program based on the 4mat model in developing story skills related to the idea, the environment, the character, the plot and the style of story among secondary school students and students' attitudes towards the program. The study sample consisted of 45 students in the experimental and control groups. To achieve the purpose of the study, a test was designed to measure the story skills. In addition, a Likert scale was designed to measure students' attitudes. The results of the study revealed that there are statistically significant differences between the pre- and post-tests in developing the skills and attitudes towards the story, due to the program.
