The current study aimed to reveal the degree to which science books for the upper primary stage in the state of Qatar include the concepts of health education, and to investigate the impact of the gender variable and the grade variable on the level of health awareness of students, in addition to knowing the perceptions of science teachers about the reality of teaching health education concepts in science curricula and determining the impact of the gender variable and the interaction variable between gender and grade. And finally, a survey of the level of health education and the effect of the gender variable on health education for sixth-grade students in the upper primary stage in the State of Qatar. The study sample consisted of science books in addition to the available sample of fourth, fifth, and sixth graders, consisting of 444 male and 256 female students, and an available sample of 206 science teachers for the upper primary stage in the State of Qatar for the academic year 2021- 2022. To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher used a descriptive approach. It relied on content analysis, and the researcher prepared a list of health education concepts to analyze the targeted books and a questionnaire to measure student’s health awareness level. In addition to a "multiple-choice" test to measure the level of health education for sixth-grade students, the researcher also prepared a questionnaire to measure the extent of teachers' satisfaction with the reality of teaching health education in science curricula for the targeted classes. By comparing the results of analyzing the targeted books for the three levels and according to the repetitions of the concepts of health education, it became clear that the two books of the fourth grade ranked first, followed by the book of the sixth grade, and then the two books of the fifth grade. The results indicated no statistically significant differences in the average awareness of health education concepts according to the gender variable among the target grades students. Also, there were statistically significant differences according to the academic grade variable and in favor of the sixth grade .The results also revealed a consensus of science teachers at the level of average satisfaction about the reality of teaching health education in science curricula, and there are no statistically significant differences in the level of male and female teachers’ satisfaction with the reality of teaching health education concepts according to the teachers’ gender variable or because of interaction between the gender and the class. In addition, the performance of (48%) or nearly half of the sample of sixth grade students on the health education test was average and below, and (52%) of the students came at a high level, and there are no statistically significant differences according to the gender variable.
