The problem of the study was the existence of historical misconceptions among second grade students through teaching history. Study group: 43 students from the second-grade preparatory school in Banimor Preparatory School for Girls in Assiut governorate. The current study aimed at the following: identify the effect of using virtual museums on teaching a unit of history curriculum on correcting the historical misconceptions of second grade preparatory students. Materials and tools of the study: 1) list of historical concepts contained in the unit "life of Muhammad story of building a nation". 2) The test of correcting the erroneous historical perceptions of the second-grade pupils about the unity of "Muhammad's life the story of building a nation". 3) Virtual museum used in the teaching of social studies to correct the misconceptions of the history of the second-grade pupils. The present study found that the use of virtual museums has an effect in correcting the historical misconceptions of second grade students،the presence of statistically significant differences at the level (0.01) between the mean scores of the experimental and control group students in the post-test to test the misconceptions of historical concepts, for the benefit of the experimental group that studied the unit "life of Muhammad story of nation-building" using the virtual museum.
