This study aimed at identifying the interest of Saudi youth in social media channels, monitor some of the most influential social media channels in Saudi youth, monitor the most important religious subjects that have been acquired and obtained from the social media channels, detecting the positive and negative effects of the use of social media channels, identifying the sample exposure rate of the social media channels, identifying the motivations of Saudi youth towards social media channels and how this affects their religious awareness, detecting the relationship between social responsibility and social media channels and the impact of this relationship on the religious awareness of Saudi youth, identifying the extent to which the religious content offered through the social media channels contributed to the increase of religious information among the sample of youth respondents, monitor the most important Islamic religious values acquired by Saudi youth through their exposure and impact on social media channels, examining the relationship between the demographic characteristics of the respondents and the extent to which they benefit in the achievement and acquisition of Islamic religious information and knowledge through the social media channels, measuring the degree of religious awareness among youth through their exposure to social media channels, and identifying the degree of social responsibility of the social media channels in commitment to Islamic values and culture in the view of Saudi youth. This study is based on the descriptive approach. The study sample consists of (400) students from Umm Al Qura University. Using a questionnaire to identify the effect of social media on religious awareness. The findings of the study showed that there are significant differences between the sample in average hours that spent online every day, more websites that used in the internet, the device that the internet is usually used through it , reasons why the use of social media channels can be dispensed with, reasons why the use of social media channels can’t be dispensed with, the most important social media channels on which they depend on, the extent of follow-up published issues and religious subjects through the social media channels, contribution type of religious subjects published in social media channels in religious education, the degree of attention to follow the channels of social media, suggestion to develop channels of social media in spreading religious awareness, the most religious values that the social media contribute in their development, suggestion to develop religious awareness among Saudi youth, the extent to which the social media channels serve youth and the public interest, and suggestion to develop social responsibility among Saudi youth. There are significant differences between males and females in average hours that spent online every day, the device that the internet is usually used through it, the extent to which the use of social media channels can be dispensed with, reasons why the use of social media channels can’t be dispensed with, the most important social media channels on which they depend on, the reasons for the use of social media for females, forms of interaction with religious subjects raised through social media channels, contribution type of religious subjects published in social media channels in religious education, the degree to which the contents of the social media channels contribute to the spread of religious awareness, the degree of attention to follow the channels of social media, religious subjects that respondents can be careful to follow through the social media channels, suggestion to develop religious awareness among Saudi youth, the extent to which the social media channels benefit from the development of Islamic religious awareness, the contribution of the social media channels in raising the level of religious awareness among the Saudi youth, making social media channels serve youth and the public interest, suggestion to develop social responsibility among Saudi youth for males, and social responsibility of the social media channels in commitment to Islamic values and culture.
