The aim of the current research is to stand on the reality of preventive education for secondary education students in the light of culture and media in contemporary society, and their impact on secondary education students. To achieve this goal, the research went through a set of procedures, represented in preparing a theoretical framework that included, the mechanisms of culture and media in contemporary society, and some of the positives and the negatives of culture and media in contemporary society and their impact on secondary education students, and what is meant by preventive education for secondary education students, its objectives and importance for students, and its educational institutions, followed by the preparation of the field study, where the study tool (the questionnaire) was prepared and applied. On a random sample of general secondary education students and technical b Sohag province, to find out the reality of the roles of educational and preventive for each of the family, the school, the media, places of worship and clubs Towards secondary education students, and the researcher used the descriptive approach, and to get the results of the study data were collected through the application of Ed uh the study, and the subsequent use of appropriate to the nature of the statistical methods to study, and the study found for some of the results that indicate the positive role played by the family, the school, the media, places of worship and clubs towards consolidating the values of citizenship and belonging among secondary education students, encouraging them to assume social responsibility, and providing them with some knowledge, skills, experiences, rules of social behavior, the etiquette of dialogue and discussion, and the development of some moral, social and health values among students, while some of the results of the study indicated to the weak role played by the family, the school, the media, places of worship and clubs towards developing students’ awareness of schemes that aim at undermining society’s culture and human energies, through broadcasting some media materials that promote violence, bullying, pornography and addiction in all its forms, and the lack of follow up, support and care programs for students. Which may direct them to ways to benefit from digital technology and the internet in the development of the individual and society, as some netizens indicated the study results in the weak role played by these institutions towards achieving psychological and social adjustment among students, and in light of these results, the researcher made some recommendations, including the expected roles of educational institutions towards preventive education for secondary education students.
