This study aimed the relationship between self-regulated learning and critical thinking the department of special education students among high achievers and normal achieversin the department of special education at the university of alQaseem. The study sample consists of (337) students, (52) of whom are high achievers and (258) are normal achievers. To achieve the aims of the study Purdie self-regulated learning, the research used California measurement 2000 after examining its psychometric characteristics. The results showed: 1) that the area of seeking social assistance components ranked first. 2) The degree of critical thinking among members of the sample of the study is below the acceptable average. 3) There were no statistically significant differences at (0.05 ≥ 5) between the high achievers and normal achievers students on self-regulated learning favor of the high achievers. 4) There were statistically significant differences at (0.05 ≥ 5) between the high achievers and normal achievers students on the critical thinking dimensions in favor of the high achievers students. 5) There is positive relationship between self-regulated learning and critical thinking.
