The study aimed to identify the reality of the application of knowledge management in research centers at the University of Princess Noura bint Abdul Rahman in the light of knowledge management. The study relied on the descriptive survey method, and the questionnaire was applied to a sample of female faculty members who are at the rank of assistant professor or above at Princess Nourah Bint Abdul Rahman University, where their number reached (322) members. The study concluded: that the application of knowledge management in research centers at Princess Nourah bint Abdul Rahman University came to a medium degree, and it also found that there are challenges that hinder the activation of knowledge management to a large degree, and there are statistically significant differences between the average responses of the members of the study community about the reality of the application of knowledge management In favor of the assistant professors, the study sample largely agreed on the mechanisms of activating knowledge management. Hence, it recommended a few recommendations, the most important of which are: reducing the teaching burden on the faculty member, which contributes to his full-time participation in research knowledge, supporting the leaders of research centers for knowledge management processes, and the need to adopt an organizational culture based on open communication.
