The current study aimed to know the reality of distance education in developing critical thinking skills in the Islamic studies course for middle school students from the point of view of Islamic education teachers from the second semester of the year (1441 AH - 1442 AH), and the researcher used in this study the descriptive survey method, The study population consisted of all (220) teachers of the Education Office in Khamis Mushait. The study was applied to a simple random sample representative of the teachers community, amounting to (200) teachers. The data were collected through the research tool, which is: the questionnaire. The results of the study found that distance education contributes to a high degree to the development of critical thinking skills (induction - conclusion - evaluation) in general in teaching the Islamic studies course to middle school students from the point of view of Islamic education teachers, and in particular, distance education contributes to a degree High in developing the skill of induction in teaching the Islamic studies course among middle school students from the point of view of Islamic education teachers, and that distance education contributes to a medium degree in developing the skill of inference in teaching the Islamic studies course among middle school students from the point of view of Islamic education teachers. And that distance education contributes to a high degree in developing the assessment skill in teaching the Islamic studies course among middle school students from the point of view of Islamic education teachers. The critic, as well as the need to train Islamic education teachers at the intermediate stage on the use of teaching strategies that are compatible with the distance education system in teaching the Islamic studies course, and which contribute to the development of thinking skills in general.
