The aim of the research is to evaluate the skills of criticism of the literary texts of the third-grade secondary students in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in light of the mature reading levels of literature by answering the following questions: 1) what are the levels of mature reading of literature suitable for third-year secondary students (course system)? 2) What are the skills of criticism of literary texts suitable for third graders in the light of previous levels? 3) What is the level of literary criticism skills of third-year secondary students (syllabus)? 4) What is the proposed scenario for the treatment of weaknesses in the skills of criticism of the literary texts of third secondary students? To achieve this goal, literature, research and previous studies have been studied to determine the levels of mature reading and skills, determine the appropriate ones for female students, and then determine their relative importance, as well as the study of literature, research and previous studies related to literary criticism and criticism of literary texts, , and then to determine their relative importance, and the preparation of a test aimed at evaluating the level of female students in the skills of criticism of literary texts and applied to 65 students of the third grade secondary. After processing the results statistically. The study reached the following results: 1) list of levels and skills of mature reading of literature suitable for students in the third-grade secondary. 2) A list of skills to critique literary texts suitable for third graders. 3) The level of performance of students in the skills of criticism of literary texts between very weak and weak, medium and good. 4) Presenting a vision for a teaching guide to develop the skills of criticism of the literary texts of female students.
