This research aims at knowing the effectiveness of a training program in reducing backward writing of mathematical numbers by children whose ages range from (4-7 years) with an average age 48-84 months and standard deviation 1.52. The researcher used the experimental approach on a sample of 74 boys and girls Including 41 girls and 33 boys selected from kindergarten and first grade The selected subjects used backward writing of numbers. The researcher used activities that detect the direction of children's writing movement revealing the processes of backward writing of numbers. A training program was prepared on the skills of writing numbers by children. For the pre and posttests of the program, a three-domain scale for estimating children's skills in learning how to write numbers was prepared. The three domains were child’s dealing with his tools, participating in activities, drawing and writing the number). Results showed that the percentage of children who used their right hand in writing scored (96.1%); and the percentage of children who flipped the numbers scored (40.4%), and that the child's writing direction (from left to right or right to left) became identifiable. Right-direction numbers were more frequent with a movement in the direction of writing from left to right. Children who turned right-handed numbers whose writing movement begins from right to left are those who started writing from left to right and vice versa. Children used their numbers according to the direction of their writings. On the other hand, results showed the effectiveness of the training program for the favor of post-test results with a Planck rate of (1.24). Conclusions, proposals, and recommendations were concluded according to the results of the study. (Published abstract)
