The current study aims to present a proposed perception to activate the role of Yemeni universities in the professional development of adult teachers in the light of contemporary global experiences, by answering the following questions: 1) What are the most prominent contemporary international experiences in adult teacher preparation programs?. 2) What is the reality of adult education teacher preparation programs in Yemeni universities?. 3) What are the most prominent aspects of benefiting from contemporary international experiences in developing adult teacher preparation programs in Yemeni universities?. 4) What is the proposed perception to activate the role of Yemeni universities in the professional development of teachers in the literacy and adult education system in Yemen?. To achieve the goals of the study, a descriptive and critical analytical approach was used, whereby theoretical literature related to international experiences and aspects of their use were monitored and analyzed in developing adult teacher preparation programs in Yemeni universities, and the researcher analyzed the findings of the most important official sources and the most prominent previous field studies of the results The reality of adult teacher preparation programs in Yemeni universities is diagnosed, and based on these results and guided by aspects of benefiting from global experiences, the proposed perception has been reached to develop adult teacher preparation programs in Yemeni universities in the light of contemporary global experiences.
