This article examines a new educational research perspective by means of a particular method to consider learning processes. Ethnomethodology is conceived as a future prospect for educational research that allows education to systematically open up to sociology and anthropology in order to examine learning processes. The main purpose of this article is to present ethnomethodology as a method based on its historical and theoretical background, and the most important concepts of this approach, in addition to how it is applied in education in a dynamic way. This article provided a significant practical example of ethnomethodology in education by studying the learning processes that a child has experienced through education, according to a specific methodological process.
