The study aimed to identify the role of human resources management in developing leadership skills for administrative leaders, and to reveal its requirements at Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University. The study sample consisted of all the administrative leaders at the university. They were (79) male and fdmale leaders. The researcher adopted the questionnaire as a tool to collect data about the study problem. The study results revealed that there is a role for human resources management in developing the leadership skills of administrative leaders at Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University with an average of (3.47). The Technical skills ranked first with an arithmetic average of (3.50), followed by humanity skills in second with an arithmetic average of (3.49), in the last place came the intellectual (administrative) skills with an arithmetic average of (3.43). The most prominent requirements for activating the role of administrative human resources in developing the leadership skills among administrative leaders were to conduct a survey of the university employees (faculty members - employees)satisfaction on the efficiency of leadership skills of administrative leaders. Activating the open door policy and hearing the voice of the leaders administrators and their proposals for development. The study found some recommendations which are providing financial support to the university’s human resources department to develop training programs, and setting an annual training plan to prepare candidates for leadership work, which is adopted according to training needs, and spreading a culture of human capital investment.
