This study aimed to identify the degree to which social studies teachers practice social responsibility in the Directorate of Education in the second Zarqa District. The study sample consisted of (123) male and female teachers, and to achieve the objectives of the study, the descriptive approach was used, and social responsibility was represented in four areas: (personal responsibility, responsibility towards society, moral and religious responsibility, and national responsibility) and each field represented a set of paragraphs indicating it. It reached (63) paragraphs and was divided into four areas. The result showed that the degree of social studies teachers' practice of social responsibility came to a large degree, the results also showed that there are statistically significant differences at the significance level (0.05≥α) due to the gender variable in all fields and the total degree, and it came in favor of females. With the exception of the area of responsibility towards society, the differences were in favor of less than (10) years. As for the educational qualification variable, the study concluded that there are no statistically significant differences at the level of significance (0.05≥α) due to the educational qualification variable in all fields and the total degree. In light of the results, the researcher recommends a set of recommendations, including holding training courses and workshops, holding seminars and conferences for all educational parties to spread a culture of social responsibility.
