The study aimed to figure out the degree to which the science textbooks of the lower basic stage include the concepts of health and epidemiological safety. To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher adopted the descriptive, analytical approach through the content analysis. The study population and sample consisted of the science textbooks of the lower basic stage for the academic year 2021/2022. The study also used a list of the health and epidemiological safety concepts which must be included in the science textbooks. The list was converted to a content analysis card consisting of 68 topics that were distributed into 8 main fields, namely: factors affecting the health, first aid, health care, degrees of health, aspects of integrative healthy growth, health problems, health levels, and health and disease. After verifying the validity and reliability of the study tool, the content analysis of the textbooks of the first three grades was analyzed and then the frequencies, percentage and (chi2) values were deduced. The study concluded that the fields of concepts related to health and epidemiological safety for all the classes were in the following order: the concepts related to the health problems were ranked first followed by concepts related to health and disease, concepts related to the health levels, concepts related to factors affecting health, concepts related to the aspects of integrative health development, concepts related to the health levels, and finally concepts related to health care. In light of the results, the study recommends the need for focusing on the concepts of the first aid, health care and epidemiological safety by the content analysis of the textbooks for all the grades.
