This study aims at identifying the levels of inquiry in the activities of science books developed for the first three basic grades, the researcher uses the content analysis method through the descriptive-analytical method using a tool, which included four levels. After confirming the validity and reliability of the tool, (130) activities of the developed science books were analyzed. The results of the study revealed that the levels of inquiry (confirmatory, structured, guided, and open inquiry) that should be available in the activities of science books developed for the first three primary grades. The structured level has (66%) of the levels of inquiry were in the activities of the developed science books for the first grade, followed by confirmatory with a percentage of (34%). As for the second primary grade, the constructive level has (62%) of the level’s inquiry, followed by the confirmatory with a percentage of (30%), followed by the directive with a percentage of (8%). inquiry for the third primary grade is structured with a percentage of (79%), followed by confirmation with a percentage of (21%). The structured inquiry established the largest proportion of the activities of science books developed for the three primary grades, followed by the confirmatory, while the results of the analysis showed a very low level of directed inquiry, and it was not depending at the open level. In light of the results, the study recommended the importance of focusing on the developed science books for the first primary grades. The first three are at the levels of the directive and open inquiry, and the balance of including activities at the levels of inquiry the four (confirmatory, structured, guided, and open inquiry) in proportion to the academic grades.
