تحليل محتوى كتاب الرياضيات المطور للصف العاشر الأساسي في الأردن في ضوء مكونات البراعة الرياضية
The study sought to identify the inclusion level of mathematical proficiency elements in the content of tenth grade developed mathematics textbook. To achieve the objective of the study, a descriptive analytical design was employed as the researcher developed a content analysis instrument based on the five elements of mathematical proficiency (conceptual understanding, procedural fluency, strategic competence, adaptive reasoning, productive disposition). The researcher analyzed the two sections of the tenth-grade textbook using the analysis instrument after validity and reliability were checked. The results of the study indicated that conceptual understanding ranked first (38.9), followed by procedural fluency (20.6%), strategics competence (16.3%), adaptive reasoning (16%), productive disposition (8.2), respectively. One of the recommendations is to conduct studies on the impact of different teaching strategies on the development of mathematical proficiency. (Author’s abstract)
