This study aimed to reveal the effect of using the story method on the direct and delayed achievement in mathematics among sixth grade female students and their attitudes towards it compared to the usual method. To achieve the objectives of the study, the semi-experimental approach was used. The results showed that there were statistically significant differences at the significance level (α = 0.05) between the mean scores of the two groups (experimental and control) in the direct and delayed achievement test and in the post application of the attitudes towards mathematics scale in favor of the experimental group.
