درجة ممارسة معلمي الدراسات الاجتماعية في محافظة المفرق لمهارات التفكير السابر
This study aimed to identify the degree to which social studies teachers in Mafraq Governorate practice the skills of probing thinking. The descriptive survey method was used. The study tool consisted of a questionnaire that included the probing thinking skills, which numbered (34) items, distributed on the cognitive, emotional and skill domains. After verifying its validity and reliability, it was distributed to the study sample of (79) male and female teachers of social studies in schools affiliated to the Northwest Badia Education Directorate in Mafraq Governorate in Jordan. The results of the study showed that the degree to which social studies teachers in Mafraq Governorate practiced probing thinking skills was high, and the emotional domain came first, then the cognitive domain, and finally the skill domain, the results also showed that there were no statistically significant differences according to the variables of gender, experience, and educational qualification. In light of the results, the study made several recommendations, including directing social studies teachers to pay attention to the skill of formulating authentic insights, classifications and creative mental skills.
