دور معلمي الدراسات الاجتماعية في تنمية ثقافة السلام لدى الطلبة في مديرية تربية الزرقاء الأولى
The current study aims at finding the role of social studies' teachers in spreading the culture of peace in the First Zarqa Education Directorate from their point of view. The descriptive approach was used, and the study sample consisted of (237) male and female teachers who responded to answer a questionnaire that consisted of (27) paragraphs that were divided into three main areas: promoting peace practice (9) paragraphs, the teacher’s role in promoting the values of tolerance and forgiveness (9) paragraphs and promoting the values of dialogue (9) paragraphs. Results of the study showed that the role of social studies teachers in developing the culture of peace among students came to a high degree, and the results showed that there were no statistically significant differences due to the effect of the educational qualification and experience variables in the total degrees of all fields and the absence of significant differences regarding the effect of gender in all fields with the exception of the field of promoting a culture of peace, which came in favor of females .Based on the results, the study recommended a set of recommendations, the most important of which are: working to encourage and strengthen efforts aimed at developing values and skills that develop a culture of peace, working to establish constructive dialogue, and expanding initiatives that help to spread the culture of peace among students.
