دافع حب الإستطلاع والأسلوب المعرفي كمنبئات بالخيال الإبداعي لدى المرتفعين والمنخفضين تحصيليا من تلاميذ المرحلة الإبتدائية
This study aimed at investigating the relationship between the creative imagination (the dimensions and the total score), and the curiosity (figural, reactive curiosity, and the total score), the field independence, as well as investigating the differences among high and low achieving students in the values of correlation coefficients between them, and predictability of the creative imagination through curiosity (figural, reactive curiosity), and field independence. A sample of (311) fifth grade elementary school students from five schools representing the five governorates of the Kingdom of Bahrain were randomly selected, high and low achieving students were selected according to the upper and lower quarters distribution rates of academic achievement grades for fourth grade. the imaginative images building, the curiosity (figural, reactive) scales, and embedded figures test were administered after confirmation of psychometric suitability. Data were analyzed using appropriate statistical procedures. The results indicated a statistically significant relationship at the level of (0.001) between the creative imagination(the dimensions and the total score) and the curiosity (figural and the total score) and the originality, curiosity reactive only at the level of (0.05), and there were statistically significant differences at the level of (0.05) between the high and low achieving groups in the values of correlation coefficients between figural curiosity and fluency and the total scores of creative imagination, differences were in favor of high achieving students, and possible to predict and creative imagination through the field independence and figural curiosity for total sample. As for the sub- groups of the study (high and low achieving students) creative imagination to predict by the field independence only. The results were discussed in the light of all of the theoretical framework and previous studies related to the topic, and some recommendations were made based on the results of the study.
