The research aimed to identify the competencies of the sign language interpreter from the point of view of deaf students in university education, to identify the most common dimensions of the academic sign language interpreter competency scale, to identify the differences between deaf male and female university students in the competencies of the academic sign language interpreter, and to identify the impact of the academic year.
