Illiteracy is still one of the chronic problems in Egypt, despite many efforts have been exerted to overcome and block its sources. As an urgent problem to should be addressed, Illiteracy needs constant, sustained actions for improving its programs by meeting real learners' needs. Thus, this study endeavored to take advantage of Indonesia experience, specifically Literacy for Life Skills and Entrepreneurship program, which has been launched since 2008 and received the UNESCO King Sejong Literacy Prize in 2012, recognizing with its success in achieving the goals of education for all. The study also presented some common features between Egypt and Indonesia for justifying the utilizing of Indonesia experience. This study aimed to take advantage of the contemporary education trends, and Indonesia experience for developing the literacy and adult education programs in Egypt. For that purpose, a comparative methodology was used by describing, interpreting and analyzing the Indonesian experience based on its cultural backgrounds and societal context, to predict its success or failure in the Egyptian context. Therefore, a literature reviewing of entrepreneurship and education was conducted especially for programs aiming to develop the skills of small and micro enterprises for integrating marginalized groups economically and socially. The study also described some polices and efforts to integrate literacy, entrepreneurship and poverty reduction by Ministry of Education, General Organization for Adult Education, and Social Fund for Development in Egypt. Afterwards, the study reviewed Indonesia experience in integrating entrepreneurship into literacy programs and analyzing them within the overall context of Indonesian society. Finally, the study was concluded by some recommendations for taking advantage of entrepreneurship education in developing the literacy and adult education programs in Egypt, taking the differences between the general context of the two countries into consideration.
