This research aimed to identify the nature of scientific supervision; its dimensions and its theoretical and intellectual foundations. Through the descriptive approach and its procedures, the scientific supervising process of the master's and doctoral dissertations at faculties of education has been monitored and analyzed from the perspective of previous studies in this field. A documentary analysis of the internal legislations and regulations, open non-rationalized interviews with a sample of graduate and doctoral students from the supporting body (Assistant Lecturers, Demonstrators) and others in postgraduate studies at some faculties of education have been carried out. In light of this, the research reached a number of suggestions to develop the system of supervision at faculties of education, in terms of criteria for the selection of supervisors and the mechanisms and rules of the formation of scientific supervision committees to ensure the freedom and willingness of the researcher to choose the supervisor and vice versa, and determine the roles and responsibilities of each of the parties to the scientific supervision this also controls the rules governing the supervisory relationship and propose some activities and training programs for the professional development of faculty members in the field of scientific supervision.
