صعوبات تنفيذ برامج التنمية المهنية للقيادات المدرسية في محافظة المهرة ومتطلبات تطويرها
The study aimed to identify the difficulties of professional development programs for school leaders in Al-Mahra governorate, and the requirements for developing these programs. To achieve this, the researcher used the descriptive survey approach. The study sample covered all school principals and deputy principals in government schools in Al-Mahra governorate during the school year 1438-1439 AH. The total number was 312 (158 principals and 154 deputies). In addition to that, 20 experts of professional development were interviewed. The questionnaire, which consisted of (29) statements, was distributed to all the participants. The study results revealed that the difficulties of implementing professional development programs for school leaders in Al-Mahra governorate received a high score, and the degree of requirements for developing professional development programs received a high degree of importance. There were also no statistically significant differences in the mean responses of school leaders attributed to the variable of gender and job title. The study concluded with a set of recommendations for professional development programs proposed by experts and those interested in professional development. (Published abstract)
