The current research aims to identify the theoretical foundations of the dimensions of governance and the theoretical foundations of school management, and to know the reality of the performance of primary school principals in Minya governorate in light of the dimensions of governance, and the research used the descriptive curriculum by applying a questionnaire consisting of (14) paragraphs, on a sample composed of From (2100) principals, agents and teachers of primary schools in Minya governorate, the research found that the level of practice of the sample of study for the reality of developing the performance of primary school principals in light of the dimensions of governance came on average (38.60), This is due to the limited availability of the school administration for employees to play leadership roles, which may be due to the desire of some managers to monopolize power and the fear of devolution and the limited procedures available for the participation of teachers effectively in the management of school affairs, and the failure to take their opinion when distributing tasks and the research recommended some proposals, including: the need to provide school leaders with the dimensions of the entrance to governance, to establish basic criteria for the selection of school principals, so that they are clear and declared criteria for recruitment procedures, promotions for administrative positions within the school and the development of skills necessary to carry out their tasks efficiently and effectively, the availability of objectivity by the headmaster in the evaluation of teachers, the representation of outstanding and accountable the underachievers, and then the achievement of more transparency in the process of carrying out their tasks efficiently and effectively in the process of evaluation, appreciating teachers and treating them as partners in the developing the educational process.
