The study aimed at identifying the elderly people actual use of social media platforms and their life quality with its various dimensions. Elderly people are one of the most important social categories who need support and attention in the light of the changes they are subject to as they expose elderly people to health, social, psychological, professional, other problems. The study seeks to answer a main question: what is the educational role of social media platforms in achieving life quality for the elderly? To reach this goal, a questionnaire was prepared, which includes 42 sections, distributed on 7 fields: general health, familial and social relations, psychological life, time management, economic life, political life and the religious sphere. The sample of the study consisted of 30 elderly people of both sexes. The study has reached many results, top of which are the following: the sample members enjoy an average life quality, which means it is an average degree. The dimensions of elderly people life quality are respectively as follows: the highest dimension is political life quality, followed by familial and social relationships, then the religious sphere, then time management. In the pre-final stage comes economic and psychological life quality with a similar relative weight of 1.90, and the final stage was occupied by general health. According to theoretical and study field results, the proposed perspective was figured out including several elements, such as its philosophy, its cognitive, ethical and social foundations, its aims as well as its mechanisms and dimensions.
