The current research aimed to prepare a program for teaching dictation using multimedia, and to measure its impact on developing dictation performance skills of fifth graders. To this aim, the experimental method based on the quasi-experimental design was adopted. The research sample was divided into two groups; a control group consisted of (38) male and female pupils who studied dictation in the usual way, and an experimental group consisted of (38) male and female pupils who studied using the multimedia program. The research was conducted in the first semester of the academic year (2021-2022) at the Experimental Primary School (2) affiliated to the Minia Educational Administration in Minia Governorate. To investigate the impact of the multimedia program on developing the dictation performance skills of fifth graders, a dictation performance post-test was prepared and applied to the control and experimental groups. It was found that there was a statistically significant difference at the level of (0.01) between the mean scores of the experimental and control groups on the post-test of dictation performance as a whole and its sub-skills separately in favor of the experimental group. The research was concluded by presenting a number of recommendations and proposed research. (Published abstract)
