الخصائص السيكومترية لاختبار مهارات الفهم التاريخي في مادة الدراسات الإجتماعية لدى تلاميذ الصف السادس الإبتدائي بجمهورية مصر العربية
The study aimed to identify the psychometric characteristics of testing the historical comprehension skills of the sixth grade students during the academic year (2018-2019); To provide researchers in the field of social studies curricula and teaching methods with appropriate standards; To measure historical understanding, the scale was applied to a group of (70) male and female students, and the final version of the test was reached, and it was limited to (three) main skills for understanding social studies, which are: translation, interpretation, and conclusion, and fall under each main skill. (five) sub-skills, for a total of (fifteen main skills), and thus the scale consisted of (30) questions, and the stability and validity of the scale were calculated, and the skills were high and acceptable according to the different methods of its calculation used in the research, and the test questions achieved discriminatory validity at the level of Confidence (0.95% - 0.99%), meaning that there is a statistically significant difference at the level (0.01) between the average scores of the two groups of students, high and low, in historical comprehension skills, and this indicates the validity of the test factors in measuring what was set to measure it. The research recommends to focus on measuring the ability of learners to master the skills of historical understanding, and to train primary school teachers on how to build tools to measure their students’ historical understanding skills.
