Scientific research is divided into two main categories: Quantitative and Qualitative. Quantitative research dominated the fields of Social studies, and Educational studies from the 19th century, until the early sixties of the last century, when researchers started using Qualitative research in England. While American research used Qualitative research in the early seventies. The sociological and educational literature indicate that a few studies utilized qualitative research in their studies. This paper highlights the definition of qualitative research, its philosophical, theoretical approaches, and methodological producers. The current paper consists of three sections. The first one discusses the concept of qualitative research; the second section presents its philosophical, theoretical, theoretical approaches, and methodological producers. The third section confers using qualitative research in educational studies and recommends research design for the bullying phenomenon in some high schools in Benghazi. (Published abstract)
