فاعلية المدونات الصوتية في تنمية مهارة الاستماع والاحتفاظ بها في مبحث اللغة الانجليزية لطالبات الصف الثامن الأساسي
The study is aimed to reveal the effectiveness of podcasts in developing and retaining listening skills in English for eighth-grade students, through teaching using the Podomatic / Spreaker applications. To achieve the aim of the study, an accessible sample of (74) female students was selected, who were distributed into two experimental groups and a control group, where the number of students in the group that studied using (Podomatic) was (25) students , the number of students in the group whom studied using (Speaker) was (25) students , and the number of students in the group who studied using the traditional method was (24) students. The researcher also used the quasi-experimental approach to achieve the goal of the study, and the educational content was built, which consisted of recording a series of clips of audio blogging files using two programs specialized in audio blogging, namely (Podomatic and Spreaker), and the measurement tool (listening skill test) was built, which its authenticity and stability was verified. The results of the study showed that there were statistically significant differences attributable to the methods of teaching between the method using podcast programs; Podomatic and Spreaker programs, and traditional teaching method, so that the differences came in favor of using the Podomatic and Spreaker podcasting programs, as well as statistically significant differences between the method of teaching using the Podomatic program and using of the Spreaker program, the differences came in favor of the teaching method using the Podomatic program in the final listening skill test and the delayed listening skill test. The problems and obstacles that students face in learning the educational courses, and holding workshops aimed at demonstrating the importance of making use of podcasts applications in developing language acquisition skills and proper pronunciation of the English language course. The study recommended a number of recommendations, the most important of which are: Making use of podcast programs in developing the listening skills of students at various levels of study, due to its ability of overcoming the problems and obstacles facing students in learning educational materials, and holding workshops aimed to demonstrate the importance of Benefiting from the applications of podcasts in developing language acquisition skills and proper pronunciations in the English language course.
