This research study aimed mainly to determine the factors affecting the professional performance of science teachers in the three educational stages in general education sector’s schools in the State of Kuwait from their point of view. It adopted a quantitative descriptive analysis evaluation research design, which deployed a survey questionnaire technique. A stratified sample of 621 science teachers and heads of science departments in public and private general education schools in the State of Kuwait willingly participated in the study. The data were collected in the first semester of the 2019-2020 academic year. A set of descriptive and inferential statistics were employed to analyze the data. In general, the findings revealed that the obstacles which affected the job performance level of science teachers in general education schools in the State of Kuwait included everything that surrounds them, including the following aspects/facets: personal, social, academic, professional, school, and economic. The results asserted that the degree of their impact is "significant" in assessing science teachers’ professional performance. The study recommends finding the necessary and proper solutions to the educational problems/obstacles (influencing factors) that science teachers are confronted with and may negatively affect their professional performance; to ensure their continued positive professional performance, with efficiency and high quality.
