This research studied the role and effectiveness of educational curricula in consolidating the values of citizenship in the elementary education stage in Lebanon. The study dealt with the theoretical approaches mentioned in the educational advancement plan that was approved in 1994 and began working with its content in 1997. This study shew whether the curricula adopted in the elementary education stage in Lebanon contribute to strengthening citizenship education and consolidating the values and behavior that enable Lebanese students to deepen the belonging between citizenship and their country, and between students and their peers, especially since the social circumstances that Lebanon has gone through it, making it necessary to strengthen the educational curricula in a way that guarantees the safety of the national environment and reduces the differences that may lead to the fragmentation of the internal situation, and here lies the importance of the role of including educational curricula elementary materials that work to consolidate the relationship between the country and its children. Moreover, the study deals with the challenges facing the educational curricula in Lebanon, which have been approved for nearly twenty-six years. The researcher adopted the descriptive and analytical approach to suit the research requirements, and the researcher relied on laws, decrees, legislation and decisions that govern the organization and application of educational curricula. The study concludes with submitting proposals that would enhance the role of educational curricula in citizenship education, and presenting the necessary perceptions to develop educational curricula in line with the current global challenges in light of globalization and the fourth industrial revolution.
