The aim of this research is to explore the effect of using habits of mind on the development of self- regulated learning skills of secondary school students in Saudi Arabia. The researcher used the semi-experimental design (experimental group - control group) with pre post measurement of the two groups, experimental and control. The research sample was chosen randomly from two groups (60) students, where the experimental group consisted of (30) students and the control group of (30) second-year secondary students, and a group of educational activities that earn them some habits of mind were applied to the experimental group students without Control group. The researcher used the self-regulate Regulated Learning skills scale, which was applied before and after the students before and after the application of educational activities. The results of the research revealed that there were statistically significant differences between the experimental group and the control group for the experimental group on the self- Regulated Learning skills scale.
