This study aimed to: measure the effectiveness of a program of activities based on constructivist theory to develop achievement and thinking skills included in TIMSS tests in mathematics among basic education stage pupils. The study group consisted of fourth grade pupils at the old King Faisal Primary School, North Suez Educational Administration / Suez Governorate. The number of study group members reached (74) male and female students, divided as follows: An experimental group consisting of (37) male and female students studying a program The activities based on constructivist theory, and a control group consisting of (37) male and female students studying in the usual way prevalent in most schools, and the measurement tools were the study in the list of thinking skills included in the TIMSS tests, the achievement test in mathematics, and a test similar to the TIMSS international tests in mathematics prepared by The researcher, and the study reached the following results: 1( The effectiveness of a program of activities based on the constructivist theory to develop achievement and thinking skills included in the TIMSS tests in mathematics among basic education stage pupils. 2) There is a statistically significant difference at the level of (ɑ ≤ 0,01) between the average pupil scores in the experimental and control groups in the post-application of the achievement test in favor of the experimental group. 3) There is a statistically significant difference at the level of (ɑ ≤ 0,01) between the average pupil scores in the experimental and control groups in the post application of the thinking skills test included in the TIMSS tests in favor of experimental group.
