رؤية مستقبليّة لتفعيل الدّراسات البينيّة في العلوم الإنسانيّة بجامعة القصيم في ضوء بعض الخبرات الدّوليّة
This study aimed to build a future vision to activate interdisciplinarity in human sciences at Qassim University in the light of some international experiences, this is done by diagnosing the reality of interdisciplinarity in the human sciences at Qassim University, clarifying the best international experiences in this field and formulating a future vision to activate it. This study adopted the descriptive survey approach and used a questionnaire to determine the reality of interdisciplinarity in the human sciences at Qassim University, to determine the most important obstacles of its activating. This study also adopted the document analysis approach to find out the most prominent international experiences in interdisciplinarity in the human sciences, and the future foresight approach using the Delphi method in three rounds to reach the most prominent requirements of activating the future vision. The study population contained members of the Qassim University, they were (3056) members, according to the statistics of Qassim University in 2019, and the sample was determined by using the equation of Stephen Thompson. The sample included (351) members. The most important results of this study were: 1) The reality of activating in interdisciplinarity in the human sciences came at a low level, and the performance gap between the reality and the expectations was large. 2) It was clear that the adherence of faculty members to the specialization and not being convinced of the usefulness of interdisciplinarity were the main obstacles, which deter the activating of interdisciplinarity in the human sciences at Qassim University. 3) It has been shown that financial funding for joint scientific research projects is one of the most important administrative requirements to activate the interdisciplinarity in the human sciences at Qassim University. 4) It has been evident that the requirement to encourage conferences, workshops and discussion sessions on interdisciplinarity among the human faculties and holding specialized training courses for postgraduate students are the most important procedural requirements, which were agreed upon by the experts. 5) The importance of including the interdisciplinarity in the human sciences in research methods and creating joint courses between human specializations came as the most prominent academic requirements for activating interdisciplinarity in the human sciences at Qassim University. 6) The study presented a future vision according to specific philosophy and perspectives. The study was prepared in three phases, it began with studying the literature of the study, some examples of foreign experiences, studying the reality in the field, and examining the opinions of experts about the requirements for activating the interdisciplinarity in the human sciences according to the Delphi method. And then defining the vision, mission, values, goals. And determining the requirements of the future vision. (Author’s abstract)
