The study aimed to identify the pioneering international experiences in developing faculty’s teaching performance and the attitude towards university teaching profession. It aimed to identify teaching performance dimensions and components to be measured among faculty, in English language departments, Qassim University. It aimed to prepare a proposed training program based on some international experiences to develop faculty’s teaching performance, in English language departments, Qassim University, and attitude towards the university teaching profession. It sought to measure the proposed training program effectiveness based on some international experiences in developing faculty’s teaching performance, in English language departments, Qassim University, and attitude towards the university teaching profession. To achieve the study objectives, several research methods were followed: the documentary method, the descriptive survey method, and the mixed method with sequential and explanatory mixed design. In the study quantitative part, the experimental method was used, with a one-group quasi-experimental design. In the study qualitative part, a case study design was used. The current study consisted of three research populations. In the documentary method, the study population consisted of all the pioneering international experiences in developing faculty’s teaching performance and attitude towards the university teaching profession. In the descriptive survey method, the study population consisted of all experts. In the mixed method, study population consisted of all faculty in English language departments, Qassim University, and their equivalents (assistant professor, lecturer, teaching assistant), totaling (248) in (9) English language departments at Qassim University. There were three study samples. In the documentary method, the sample consisted of (3) pioneering international experiences in developing faculty’s teaching performance and attitude towards the university teaching profession. They include the British experience in 2011, the Australian experience in 2014, and the Monash experience in 2019. In the descriptive survey method, the sample consisted of (10) experts. In the mixed method, concerning the study quantitative part, the sample, selected randomly, consisted of (32) faculty in English language departments at Qassim University (assistant professor, lecturer, teaching assistant): male and female. In the study qualitative part, the sample consisted of (5) faculty in English language departments at Qassim University and their equivalents. The study instruments consisted of dimensions, criteria and standards of faculty’s teaching performance, in English language departments; an observation checklist for faculty’s teaching performance, in English language departments; some rubrics; attitude scale of the university teaching profession; and a qualitative interview guide. The study materials consisted of a proposed training program based on some international experiences, an electronic training environment, and a guideline for the electronic training environment. The study results are as follows: 1) Building a common framework including the main dimensions, sub-dimensions and professional standards for teaching in Saudi universities based on the qualitative analysis results of the pioneering international experiences documents. 2) Preparing a list of dimensions, standards and criteria for teaching performance to be measured among faculty, in English language departments, Qassim University. They were prepared based on the qualitative analysis results of documents. The list included (6) dimensions, (8) standards, and (44) criteria. 3) Building a proposed training program based on some international experiences to develop the faculty’s teaching performance, in English language departments, Qassim University, and attitude towards the university teaching profession. 4) The proposed training program effectiveness based on some international experiences in developing faculty’s teaching performance, in English language departments, Qassim University. 5) The proposed training program effectiveness is based on some international experiences in developing faculty’s attitude towards university teaching profession, in English language departments, Qassim University.
