The aim of the research is to reveal the relationship between academic self-efficacy and critical thinking among ordinary and gifted students. A female student of the gifted students in the secondary stage from five schools in Alexandria Governorate. The gifted students were identified using some measures of intelligence, innovative thinking, teacher reports and study reports for previous years. The research tools included the academic self-efficacy test prepared by / Muhammad Al-Zahrani (2022) and the critical thinking skills test prepared by / Muhammad Ibrahim (2006), and the results showed a low level of academic self-efficacy and critical thinking among ordinary students, and a high level of academic self-efficacy and critical thinking skills among gifted students, as it was found that there is a positive correlation between academic self-efficacy and critical thinking skills among ordinary students. And a positive correlation between academic self-efficacy and critical thinking skills among the gifted, and in light of the results Some recommendations and suggestions were presented.
