The study aimed at identifying the reality of strategic planning in higher education institutions in the State of Kuwait, and to provide some assistance proposals to prepare a strategic plan to increase the effectiveness of strategic planning to achieve sustainable human development through higher education institutions in the State of Kuwait. To achieve the goals of the study, the researcher followed the descriptive approach. The sample of the study consisted of (356) member. The results of the study showed that the degree of The indicators indicating the availability of the requirements for employing strategic planning to achieve sustainable human development in higher education institutions in the State of Kuwait ranged between (1.53-1.72) and with percentages ranging between (76.5% - 86%), Also The results showed The paragraphs of the characteristics of sustainable human development features achieved in higher education institutions in the State of Kuwait ranged between (1.33-1.94) and percentages ranging between (66.5% - 97%). The study recommended Spreading the culture of strategic planning and its role in achieving sustainable human development among workers in higher education institutions through seminars, workshops, publications and brochures.
