This study aimed to identify the Science teachers' ability to read weather maps, their methods on teaching them, and how different their ability to read according to their gender, specialization and years of experience. To achieve the aims of the study, two tools have been used after ensuring of their validity and reliability. The first tool was an achievement test to measure the Science teachers' ability to read weather maps, which consists of (25) items. It was applied to a random sample consisting of (100) teachers from Amman, Jordan. The second tool was with a observation of teaching methods consist of (21) paragraphs, and it was applied on (40) teachers, who were chosen intentionally. The results of the study had shown that the level of ability of science teachers to read weather maps is moderate and there is statistically significant differences at the level of (α=0.05) between the means of the of the study sample performance on the test items related to the ability of science teachers to read weather maps attributed to the specialization in favor of those with specialization (Earth Sciences) compared to those with specialization (Field teacher), and there is no statistically significant differences Between the mean of the performance of the study sample on the test items attributed to the gender variable, and the number of years of experience. The results also showed that science teachers use method of discussion, presentation of drawings, and implementing of book activities in teaching students weather maps at a (high) level and in high percentage, and they do not use any of the methods that related to activities outside the book, as using computer, or Internet in teaching students weather maps.
