This study aimed to identify the role of the secondary school Islamic studies curriculum in increasing awareness of the dangers of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances. The study instrument was the content. The results revealed that the fifth requirement, which defines "the reasons for abusing drugs and psychotropic substances," was ranked first with the highest representation in the book 26.4 %. In addition, the fourth requirement, "definition of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances" came second with 21.7%. The results of the study also showed the absence of the eighth requirement "the definition of the damage of narcotic drugs and psychotropic economic substances" in seventh place by (0.0%), as well as the absence of the ninth requirement" the efforts of Saudi Arabia in the fight against narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances" in ninth place by 17.36%. Also observed the absence of the tenth requirement "Saudi Arabia’s efforts to treat addicts of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances" in tenth place by (0.0%). The study recommended that attention should be given to the inclusion of the requirements for awareness of the damage of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances in the jurisprudence course at the secondary stage.
