أثر استخدام استراتيجيات ما وراء المعرفة في تنمية مهارات التفكير الناقد في العلوم لدى تلاميذ المرحلة الإعدادية
The present study aimed at investigating the effect of using metacognitive strategies (self-questioning, brainstorming and concept maps) on developing the critical thinking skills in science among the preparatory stage pupils. Two study tools were, used and developed: Watson- Glaser test of critical thinking and Test of critical thinking, which was developed by the present study researcher. The study sample consisted of 76 female pupils in the second-grade in two preparatory stage schools in Menufiya Governorate. The sample was divided into control group (n=41) arid experimental group (n=35). The study tools were administered before and after the experimentation using the three strategies. The present study findings the effect of using metacognitive strategies on developing the critical thinking skills in science among the preparatory stage pupils. (Published abstract)
