The study aimed at identifying the power of cognitive control and its relation to holistic thinking among postgraduate students at Anbar University. To achieve the objectives, the descriptive approach was used. The study sample consisted of 116 students randomly selected from both the scientific and human sections. The power of cognitive control developed by Stevenson (1984), and the measure of holistic thinking prepared by the researchers. The results of the study reached several results. The most important of these were the strength of cognitive control (first and second grades) practiced by the students in their studies at an average level, that the students are characterized by holistic thinking, and that there is a positive relationship between the power of cognitive control and holistic thinking.
