In this article, which is a field study, we discuss the impact of having a child diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder within the family, and how this affects the high level of psychological, social and material pressures, which leads to a decrease in their psychological resilience, in addition to identifying the differences between psychosocial and cognitive stresses according to For some variables (personal, emotional, health and physical), the study sample consisted of 20 fathers and mothers (ten mothers and ten fathers) who were intentionally selected within the Rehabilitation and Training Center for People with Intellectual Disabilities at the Mohammed VI National Center in Marrakesh. And they responded to the proposed measure of psychological resilience and the direct interview. The results of this study indicated that there is a correlation between the presence of a child with autism spectrum disorder in the family and psychological, social, cognitive and health pressures, which leads to a decrease in their psychological resilience and this also directly affects their lack of commitment to the values of Psycho-educational intervention and rehabilitation and their active participation in the rehabilitation of their children within the framework of the child’s life project. We also noticed the differences in psychological resilience between mothers and fathers and the rest of the family members due to different variables such as religious values, academic level, degree of openness and commitment, and the level of psychological stress in mothers increases over Parents account, in addition to its great impact on the emotional and health level.
