Autism spectrum is a developmental disorder that results from a neurological disorder that negatively affects brain function. This disorder usually manifests itself in the first three years of a child's life, and is associated with severe mental and communicative social deficits. So the current study highlighted the new criteria for the diagnosis of autism in accordance with DSM- 5, the compatibility of DSM- 5 and the Glyam scale, where the two researchers followed the analytical descriptive approach, and the sample was selected in an intentional manner, reaching 33 children with autism spectrum disorder, and applying the Glyam scale to them with a case study of children. The results of previous studies and theoretical heritage have been discussed. (Published abstract)
