This study aims at revealing the effectiveness of a multimethod counselling program on raising the ego strength for depressed female students at the Faculty of Education- Albaha University, and alleviating the depression symptoms. The study sample consisted of (20) female students who have high scores in the depression scale and low scores in the ego strength scale. It has been divided into two equal groups: the first group studied the counselling program and the second group did not study the program. The study used the following tools: Ego strength scale, Dr. Beck's scale for depression, and the multimethod program. The present study showed the following results: 1) There is significant statistical difference between the mean ranks of the experimental group in the pre and post measurements of Ego strength variable in favor of the post measurement. 2) There is significant statistical difference between the mean ranks of the experimental group in the pre and post measurements of depression variable in favor of the post measurement. 3) There is no significant statistical differences between the mean ranks of the control group in the pre and post measurements of Ego strength variable. 4) There is no significant statistical differences between the mean ranks of the control group in the pre and post measurements of depression variable. 5) There is significant statistical differences between the mean ranks of the experimental and control groups in the post measurement of Ego strength variable in favor of the experimental group. 6) There is significant statistical differences between the mean ranks of the experimental and control groups in the post measurement of depression variable in favor of the experimental group. 7) There is no significant statistical differences between the mean ranks of the experimental group in the post and following up measurements of Ego strength variables. 8) There is no significant statistical differences between the mean ranks of the experimental group in the post and following up measurements of depression variables.
