The aim of the current study is to identify the reality and obstacles to using the digital storytelling for students with intellectual disabilities from the viewpoint of their teachers in Jeddah. The researcher followed the descriptive and analytical approach. The sample of the study consisted of (50) teachers for students with intellectual disability in Jeddah. The researcher prepared a questionnaire consisting of (24) items distributed on two axes: The reality of using the digital storytelling and the obstacles to using the digital storytelling. The results of the study showed that the arithmetic average of the degree to which the individuals of the sample used the digital storytelling in the educational process was (4.10), This indicates teachers agree to use the digital storytelling with students with intellectual disabilities. The study also showed that the arithmetic means of the axis of obstacles reached (3.58), which indicates the existence of obstacles that limit the use of digital stories with students with intellectual disabilities it is represented in: The lack of training courses for female teachers to design and produce digital stories, the lack of digital stories produced with design and production standards appropriate for people with intellectual disabilities, and the lack of specialists in designing and producing digital stories limits their use in the education of students with intellectual disabilities.
