الاتجاه نحو مقرر القياس النفسي وعلاقته بقلق الاختبار ودافعية الإنجاز لدى طلبة برنامج دبلوم الإرشاد الأسري بجامعة المجمعة
The current research aimed to identify the attitude of family counseling diploma students towards the psychometrics subject. Likewise, to find out the correlative relationships between the attitude towards psychometrics subject (and its various dimensions), and both test anxiety and achievement motivation. In addition, determining the contributions of test anxiety, and achievement motivation (and their various dimensions) to predict the attitude towards psychometrics subject. The research sample comprised (200) students of family counseling diploma program at Majmaah University, (100) male and (100) female students. In order to achieve the objectives of the research, three psychometric scales were applied (i.e.; the attitude towards the psychometrics subject, test anxiety, and achievement motivation “created by the researcher”). The descriptive correlative method was used. The statistical analysis of research data included the one-sample t-test; correlation coefficient; and multiple regression analysis. Results showed that there was positive attitude towards psychometrics subject (and its various dimensions), and the total degree of the scale among the research sample. Moreover, results indicated that there was negative correlation (statistically non-significant) between attitude towards psychometrics subject (its various dimensions and the total degree of the scale), and test anxiety. A positive correlation between the total degree of attitude towards psychometrics subject (and its various dimensions); statistically significant at (0.01) level, and achievement motivation was found. In addition, it is possible to predict attitude towards psychometrics subject by the total degree of achievement motivation. Results of the current research were discussed and interpreted, and a number of recommendations were suggested. (Published abstract)
