The study aimed at developing suggested perception to develop social responsibility in the Ministry of Education in the light of partnership with the private sector in the Sultanate of Oman, after studying the reality of social responsibility in the Ministry of Education in the light of partnership with the private sector across six themes, namely: (organizational frameworks, Professional development, scientific research, continuous education, educational programs and activities, and community service). The quantitative and qualitative methods were used to collect data through two tools: a questionnaire and an interview. The questionnaire was applied to a sample consisting of (105) individuals from the directors of departments and their assistants and heads of departments at the Ministry of Education in the Sultanate of Oman, where’s the interview was applied to (10) individuals from the experts In the field of educational administration and social responsibility from the Sultanate of Oman in the Ministry of Education and the government and private sectors. The estimate of the individuals of the study sample on the reality of social responsibility in the Ministry of Education came in light of the partnership with the private sector in the Sultanate of Oman with an average availability in the themes of organizational frameworks and vocational development, and with a small degree of availability in other themes, and the results of the questionnaire revealed the absence of statistically significant differences at level (α ≤ 0.05) between the averages of the study sample performance due to the gender of the respondent, the educational qualification, and years of experience in all study areas related to the reality of social responsibility in the Ministry of Education in light of the partnership with the private sector in the Sultanate of Oman. While there are statistically significant differences at the level of (α ≤0.05) between the averages of the performance of the study sample attributed to the job title of the respondent (department director, assistant director of the department, head of department) on the degrees of assessment of the members of the study sample for the reality of social responsibility in the Ministry of Education in light of partnership with the private sector in the Sultanate of Oman in the vocational development themes only and for the benefit of the assistant director of the department. The results of the interviews showed a set of suggestions to develop social responsibility in the Ministry of Education in light of partnership with the private sector in the Sultanate of Oman in six areas. Based on the literature review of the topic of social responsibility and partnership with the private sector and the results of the field study, the study presented a suggested perception for developing social responsibility in light of partnership with the private sector in the Sultanate of Oman.
